We’re asking for your support. Not for us, but for those who have chosen to stand on the front lines in some of the most difficult and crucial parts of our society. Activists and advocates. Caregivers and teachers. Protectors and reformers.
Whether it’s human rights, economic empowerment, human trafficking, gender justice, or any of the myriad of social needs we face today, these are the people facing them. And they need your help.
With your help, we will raise the funds to allow 150 Changemakers in the Global South—where resources for trauma healing are severely limited—to attend The Healing Trauma Program led by the esteemed Dr. Jeffrey Rutstein and a world-class faculty, including Drs. Gabor Maté, Peter Levine, Sará King, Thomas Hübl, and more. This nine-month online program will provide these Changemakers with the tools, insights, and practices to address trauma of all kinds—their own as well as the trauma in the populations they work with—magnifying the positive impact they can have and the healing they can provide.
An explanation of how the nervous system operates during distressing situations and how to “widen the Window of Tolerance” when the body’s fight/flight/freeze responses take over.
Guidance on uncovering internal pathways of safety and connection so they become a trusted new path to shift from disembodiment to the solid ground of the physical form.
A deep dive to discover what activates the personal trauma responses and how to manage them effectively in the moment.
Guidance to be the calm person in the room: an open, receptive, caring source of comfort for others.
Daily exercises and approaches to support greater self-awareness and personal agency (especially when feeling disempowered or helpless).
